today was my day of in a regular week, but my collegue/buddha partner was sick so I took the slot at the studio of course.
today thursday is "kids yoga" time as usual, I think it is great that they come and learn slowly in a playful way. I decided today that I would bring something to this "event", so when they came before class today the got to see a blooming tea, I had put a pot on a high chair in the middle of the studio, in it was "fairytail Lilly" tea flowerball. so when all had changed and so they came around the glas tea pot and I poured in the hot water. they were quit excited to se this tea flower slowly first open up and then also see the whit lilly rise up from the tea leaves.
our flowers are made of white tea, so relly nice ones.
and of course they all got to taste the tea when done.
one girl was so funny she insisted on cold water so she wouldnt burn her mouth, then she loudly explained to us that "japanese & chinese teas are calming our soul"
somehow we came into the subject of what their names came from so during their 1 hour yoga class I searched a name site to see their names origin. then I wrote their name and the country of its origin on small pink heart shaped post it notes, I think almost all of them put their on their t-shirts ha ha. and also they started "I am the queen of England or Greece or what ever their country was".
today also they had new t-shirts that they had designed themselves!
the teacher had invited them to her house last weekend to "print their on t-shirts" so they all made one with colours & text etc.
I quit enjoy having them there as long as they are not overenergetic, restless and also TO loud. then I become the more serious owner and they really listen to me he he.
[since we have a ayurvedic therapeut there at the same time ha ha].
one thing really I like with children is the possibilities to learn and listen without prejudice, they are not yet formed by the soceity that much.
and also you can see they really want to learn and are amazed of the smallest things.
great!
