just want to make a small shoutout:

I know that many like me are allwasy searching for a place where they can inspire people, new ones & the ones already attending what ever activities you have your passion for..

so since not everyone knows about this I want to shortly do PR for my place/studio in södermalm, Stockholm.
our place that we do rent out sometimes on weekends and weekdays [daytime] for external teachers etc.

I allways wanna give people a chance to inspire thers, and now when I do have my own place I want to give the opportunity to others to be able and afford to sometimes do something extra or so..

for more information just e.mail me at fredrik@buddhaspa.se

tomorrow I will start to slowly in 3 days prepare for this upcomming friday wich is good friday or holy friday of this upcomming easter.
that day feels like the perfect day to do a one day small fast & spiritual sadhana like practice..

so my plan is to prepare the physical body now tuesday to thursday diet wise,
and on friday I will try to fast totally, and only if I really need maybe some milk, fruit [or fruitjuice] & nuts perhaps. but basicly trying to let my inner body and the digestion have a rest.
but a fast and a sadhana is about alot more in the yogic world, so also to "fast" with your sences is a good idea.

so I will try to use the lightness in the body and be by myself in the yogastudio and have a full day: some light asana practice, a lot of pranayama, meditation sessions and perhaps do a yoga nidra.
and also read some from interesting yogic books and listen to chanting from the ashram Satsangs etc.
my aim is try to not get stimulated by things around, like stressed people, no TV, no computer, switch of the mobile etc..
no other music then the chanting & mantra songs and of course a lot of silence.

I am not sure if to get someone to watch my dogs aswell, or if I should just let them be with me this day, might be a bit disturbing sometimes when need to go out with them etc.. hm..

so I have the honor to have been booked to lead this full day workshop in classic hatha yoga [Sivananda style] sunday the 18'th of april in Roslagen.
and now I have been given an OK to invite others to come, so if anyone would be interested there are a few spots free still [at least there were yesterday, sunday].

it will include: a 2h traditional morning class, brunch with "raw food" and a short lecture about that during the meal, 1 hour theory about main points of yoga & modern yoga, 1h technique practice where we go thru details in sun-salutation and also practice headstand & armbalance, tea time, a shorter meditation, a second class wich will be intermediate and then end it all with a deep relaxation and some basic chanting.

from 09-16.30 is the plan..
up for a challenge and a chance to feel yoga & also hopefully a way to find some new inspiration on your personal yogic journey?
then you are wellcome : )

I am just smiling at Mimmi, she doesnt really know what to do..
today after teaching my sunday yoga class, I went by the pet shop and bought some food for my little ones, I also then decided to renew Mimmis toy basket.

so I bought her some things that I thought she would like, some new squicky things, some balls, a cotton rat [that she will "kill" in a few minutes] some chewy things etc.
and I replaced some old things she is not at all interested in anymore.
she went totally bezerk, running back and forward getting all the things from the basket and umped up on the bed, and then played with each item 2-5 seconds before checking for new things again ha ha

now a few minutes later she has decided to do the deeds with the rat after all... her animal instinct! this breed was actually raised in the beginning to chase rats in pipelines etc

today or actually last night we changed the clocks into summertime, so at 2am the time becomes 3am or something like that.
this allways ends up in confusin when having classes the day after.
so today it was payday weekend, it was kind of grey outdoors, everyone who knew slept 1h less..
so already with these points it should be less people this sunday.
and on top of this, the ones who had missed to change the time they came one hour late to class,
and also.. something happend with the booking system online so it suddenly said that the class today was 11.30, so a few had changed to summertime but still came 1hour late becuse the booking system said wrong time..

so usually I have 20-25 participants on this class, today I had 7 ha ha ha
and some asked if I coud do an extra class, but today i couldnt since I had plans already.
I am not sure the boss had agreed anyway to put in a extra class he he

now I am back at home and have just eaten some wonderful left overs from a delicious chickpea, chives & potato soup that "A" had made, I topped the soup as she had done with with grated paresano cheese. and with this I am eating oven grilled garlic & olivoil chiabata bread.
yummie!!

now I will do small work things on the computer I think for the upcomming week wich includes easter, so the schedule for this holiday etc needs to come up on my site etc

so now is the period, the sunshine comes and we feel the urge to cleanse ourselves..
many people does a physical purification by changing their diet and some exercise aswell.
and a more update name is of course to do a "detox" since we want to rince out the toxins in our bodies.

so I thought I would recommend something for anyone who wants to take it a bit deeper or just as one more tool to get a more efficient detoxification..
my compagnion "A" does actually do detox treatments : )

nirvana detox massage - 60min / 685:-
a fullbody massage wherw we put our focus on a detoxing effect.
cleanses the body of toxins & waist products.
this treatment stimulates the lymph-system and increases your blood circulation.

buddha spa detox treatment - 90min / 850kr
after a cup of our own herbal detox tea you start of with a fullbody peeling
after the peeling a massage to help the cleansing.
the focus lies on the "problem parts" as thighs, buttox & stomach where a lot of waist products end up in the fat tissues.
then a bit deeper body detoxing by accupressure and some deep tissue massage.
in the end you get a special body mask on the most importent body parts to increase the purification/burning in the fat cells.

for more info if interested www.buddhaspa.se

I am quit amazed by the reactions people have gotten who have done the detox treatment, especially the ones that are serious and have also been doing a certain detox diet/program at the same time.

I myself are planning a short fast before easter perhaps, and help my body to cleanse out with some beverages but most of all let my digestive system have a chance to rest..

yoga itself if do with conscious breathing is quit detoxing,
in fact patanjali [yoga sutras] is describing what we call hatha yoga more as kriya yoga, and kriyas are the cleansing techniques within classic yoga.
..and if also do some extra pranayama as for example kapalabhati, that will increase the effects a bit more.

and not to forget, meditation and deep relaxation with awarness is kind of detoxing your mind ; )

good luck!

now I am back at home and it is about 10pm [22.00].
had a quit long day it feels like, but a good feeling is running thru my body.
I am not sure what it is really, if it is some release since my shoulder is getting better, or that good effect of meeting the monk the other day or just hte fact that I dont have to many "musts" in the near future and can mentally realx a bit more?

I did a light own yoga practice today about noon, felt great.
then I arranged some stuff and also sold a bunch of mats to a woman running yoga courses in the posh suburbs.

then working at buddha spa 15-18, on tuesdays 16-17 we have the young group of kids yoga, 4-8 year olds he he, so full speed there that hour and parents & sibblings waiting in our small lounge during class, sitting there sipping tea, drinking organic juice and eating some "buddha spa nut & chick pea mix".

then I had a short break before I teach my late 19.15 class wich is an intermediate class.

when I entered the yogastudio they were all already very relaxed and focused in savasana, so I let them enjoy that feeling and silence and I just said a few words for them to get directions to collect their mind and so on.

today I had them do more or less the traditional Sivanada style class.
..after doing all the pranayama [abd breath, FYB, kapalabhati, anuloma viloma] we chanted 3 AUM together, and the vibration felt outstanding [to me anyway].. nice!

todays class felt really nice, one of those classes where you a bit extra enjoy teaching. their focus was deep and they didn't overdoe things and probably got deeper into the asanas instead as I try to explain to them, that when not wanting TO much they also have less resistans from all stiff explosive muscles and all the muscles contracting in a mood of defence. and with a calmer physical body they will more easily find their active breath and with a more controlled deep breath comes the mental calmness. and then the inner awarness gets more clear and they can adjust themsleves small details to challenge their body in a more hmble way instead of forcing the body. so more working with the physical body then trying to compete against it.

then after class and final relaxation we did as usual a shorter version of the final mantra together. and now a few have learned the mantra so it becomes a more powerfull and lovely feeling.
I am thinking of starting doing more chanting actually.
I just need to decide what, how much and on wich classes..
after class a few students bought some take away herbal tea from our small tea-bar, then I closed the studio.

so the class ended up in total of 2 hours almost, as usual on tuesday evenenings he he

now I'm sitting here sipping my herbal/spicy yogi apple/cinnamon milk tea again..
soon it is time for bed and a new hopefully eqaully good day..

the word Onaka means stomach in japanese, this is also the name of a "filmjölk" brand [filmjölk is a swedish version of fermented cows milk with a consistency similar to youghurt].
this one also contains bifidus bacterias, wich are good intestine bacterias. they help you neutralize toxins and this bacteria also helps with other good things : )

when I came home from asia I had some "stomach problems" and it refused to go away, and it took a lot of energy of course.

but from the day I started to eat this Onaka filmjölk it has changed, and in the beginning if I missed one day "it" came back.
so now I am fine and eat it now and then and my stomach is feeling alive and well.
the great thing is that this Onaka is also very tasty!
there are three flavours: natural, green tea and my favourite ginger wich is slightly sweetend with honey.

anyway, I just wanted to recommend it if anyone have stomach problems, maybe the famous "Delhi belly" or similar ha ha.
try Onaka, but do it continuesly for a while to balance up your inner health.
it is so importent to have a healthy innre body and in your stomach also they say lies your immune defence...

sitting here sipping on my yoga "apple & cinnamon" herbal milk tea with some honey.. I just had my weekly hour of crying watching "missing" on tv ha ha.

yesterday the munk Chembal Lama from Nepal came to visit our studio for a short talk about life in Humla, this second largest district in Nepal, but also one of the poorest and for sure the one most away from all other civilisation.

it was a relaxed evening and I got to talk to the monk some before & after the talk aswell, he was quit curious about things and the yoga we have etc.

during the talk he explained how people live there, and showed beautiful and interesting pictures.
just to get there you have to first go to Kathmandu wich is the capitol city of Nepal, from there a 15 hour busride to a place where there is a small airport, you then fly 1 hour if & when the very small plane can actually fly because of the weather conditions etc.
..after the hour on the plane you have to walk for 3-5days!?!?! to get to the different villages in upper Humla from where he came and where he is now one of the monks in the only monastary in that district.

it is so very weird and feels unreal how they live, he explained when visiting the vasa ship museum that the way things where there felt a bit like they have, but here in Sweden that style is in a museum, he also said that when visiting a swedish school the other day it felt like they had a 5 star dinner served..
and still we complain so much about the school food here, and the kids dont want to eat tha food many times so they choose a bowl of youghurt instead.

just a small thing that they cant read, write or understand mathematics is for us so natural. so for example if/when some trekkers come by they cant sell anything to them since they dont know how to calculate..
because this is close to the Tibetan border, and it is kind of a pilgrimage path to holy Kailash mountain. so sometimes expeditions come by there.

in that area they also practice polyandry wich is the form of pologamy where the wife have more husbands. this is an old tradition that is built on that they have so many different chores that has to be done to be at least close to survive so they need bigger families basicly.

they are buddhist and dont eat meat unless is has died of natural causes so maybe once a year they get a small peace of meat.
but it seamed like each small village has also a local god and they have a elderman/priest wichhas connections with this god, and this god they ask for the daily things like better growt of their vegetables, better weather etc.

after the talk I had a small discussion with Chembal and Pernilla wich is the woman I have been in contact with that "works" for the swedish support group of KMCH wich is the organization that Chembal had started to make a better future life of the people in Humla.
and if all goes well I can in a few weeks time give some news about a small project wich feels right for us a buddha spa to support.
and also we had made a small collection during this week so we gave that to them aswell afterwards.

so next weekend mr Lama will be at "etnografiska museumet" to talk more, and to show more pictures etc if any one is interested in listening.

I feel again and even more we need to apprechiate what we do have here, and stop loking for tiny problems that are not at all importent..

AUM Shanti, shanti, shantíi
